Mitel Handsets
The Mitel 3300 supports a wide range of analogue, digital, IP and wireless
telephones. There are also options for consoles, conference units and “soft-phones”.
Many of the IP telephones are “dual port” meaning that you can connect a PC into the back of the telephone and share the same network (cat5) point in the wall. This can reduce the number of points required in new or expanding offices. The nature of IP telephones also make moves easy, simply unplug the handset and plug it into a new cat5 point at it’s new location. The IP handset will automatically connect to the telephone system over the network (LAN/WAN or VPN in the case of teleworkers) and all of the set up and programming will be available to the end user.
A number of the IP handsets support hot desking. By setting up hot desking users can log-on to telephones by using a pin code and all of their set up and preferences will be pushed to that telephone.
Selected IP telephones will support mobile twinning – improving contact with one number dialling. Mobile twinning will improve staff productivity and access to transient staff as both the desk phone and mobile phone will ring at the same time.
