Non Geographic Numbers

Britannic provide a full range of non geographic services, including Free Phone (0800 and 0808), Locally Rated (0845), National Rate (0870), Premium Rate Services (0906 & 0907) and International Free Phone, each one offering different benefits.

Non geographic numbers are transportable as they overlay a geographic "destination" number (e.g. 08450501000 links to 01483242526). This provides greater flexibility should you need to change the destination that the non geographic number is linked to (for example moving location or for disaster recovery / business continuity purposes). This will save time and money on rewriting and printing literature and information about your company. This also means that should your business suffer any issues at any site the number can be redirected immediately and easily via a web browser.
Britannic provide all non geographic numbers at competitive rates. However, Britannic also realises that the benefits are not just financial and have such created a wealth of additional value added services to compliment our offerings.

Premium rate numbers are used to generate revenue, typical examples include customer support / help lines, competitions, fax back services etc.

Britannic provide a full range of premium rate numbers ranging from 10 pence per call/minute to £1.50 per call/minute.

The company receiving the calls will generate a (pence per minute) revenue stream for all calls received.

The services provided in conjunction with premium rate numbers are regulated to ensure that the end caller is fully aware of the costs involved and that the charges are fair.

The organisation that regulates the use of premium rate numbers and services is called ICSTIS. Their approval will need to be sought prior to using premium rate numbers. To do this a special certificate needs to be completed and submitted for their review, this can obtained from the ICSTIS web site, www.icstis.org.uk.

Should you require any assistance or indeed wish to discuss which options and revenue payments are best suited to your needs, please feel free to discuss with Britannic's Network Services department.
